Video From 07/08
Posted: Sat Jul 10, 2010 8:27 amI'm experimenting with different camera mounting positions for HD and also trying to learn how to use Final Cut Express (what a user interface), and here is my first effort.
On July 8 I managed for the first time to make it to Westlake thanks to the local senpais. In this clip I am following the pink-top glider and my sponsor was the topless that does a wing-over at about 1:20.
This video is downsampled so the quality isn't that great. I am working on a HD version to post (youtube only allows up to 2GB in file size) and I'll post that when I get it rendered. The full 1080p stuff from the GoPro camera looks great but it is quite a chore to figure out how to drive the codecs so you get a reasonably sized file without sacrificing the quality. Each rendering of a 3 minute clip takes about an hour on a 2.8GHz i7 processor.
