Community Film Workshop
Please join us for an interactive evening with Eric Blum from Photon Films, Wed, April 21st, 7:30 pm.
What: A forum/workshop for folks interested in developing their flight videography, editing and story telling skills.
When/Where: Wednesday, April 21st, 7:30 PM ongoing once per month at Markus' Loft, 964 Natoma, cross street 11th, SF.
How: Bring your camera, your video project files (labeled, in a separate project folder) on a hard drive, laptop if you have one, and a 6 pack to lubricate everything.
Why: Get advice, ask questions, resolve technical issues, learn from experts and your peers on subjects such as:
Various settings on GoPro/Contour HD/Other Cameras
Recommended Lenses
Editing Programs Overview (PC/Mac)
Project Plan: Storyline, Setting up the Shots, Logging and Backing up, transferring video files, basic overview of editing, rendering in HD, music rights concerns.
Camera Mounts (helmet, ankle, wing/keel mount (HG), line mount (PG, Skydive))
Communicating effectively in-air with the subject. (hand signals, radio, coordinating larger groups)
Safety Concerns (Collision, added complexity of equipment, Potential for Distraction, Concerns around lack of traffic/altitude awareness)
